This new Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) program reference toolkit offers guidance to physicians and staff utilizing the RetCam® in a hospital-based ROP program. The information provided in this PPT will cover the toolkit resources based on clinical and peer recommendations in all medical fields as it pertains to ROP management. Our goal at Natus is to provide a basic outline of an ROP management program to support NICU’s in successful integration and use of the RetCam for screening of Retinopathy of Prematurity.

- Understanding Retinopathy of Prematurity, including a General Clinical and Screening Guidance Snapshot and Timing of First Eye Examination Based on Gestational Age at Birth
- Review of AAP Policy Statement: Screening Examination of Premature Infants for Retinopathy of Prematurity
- Indications for Use and Contraindications for RetCam Imaging
- Importance of an ROP Management TEAM
- Basic review of RetCam Imaging and tools such as Imaging Supply Checklist, Preparation for RetCam ROP Imaging, and Basic RetCam ROP Imaging Workflow
