ROP Benefits of Digital Eye Screening

ROP is an eye disease occurring exclusively in Premature babies. Understanding of the disease entity ROP, who is at risk, timing of the disease, disease progression, the use of Digital imaging for accurate documentation and then subsequent treatment protocols are all necessary factors in helping prevent blindness in these patients.

Wide-field Digital Imaging (WFDI), which includes the RetCam, has been used for over 2 decades and is beneficial in supporting the screening and disease management of ROP.
