Digital eye imaging has become very important in early detection of ocular diseases. There have been huge advances in regards to digital eye imaging in the 20th & 21st centuries and continues to evolve.
Digital imaging not only affords the ability for early disease detection, it is non-invasive, offers high quality detailed viewing of ocular anatomy, but also superior documentation. In addition, digital imaging supports education, studies and drug trials.
